Peeple Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Peeple mobile application and related services (the "Service") provided by Peeple (the "Company").

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and users regarding the use of social events and community-related services provided on the Peeple platform.

Article 2 (Definitions)

① "Service" means all features available on the Peeple platform, including event creation and participation, community posts, chat, article browsing, and other services provided by the Company.

② "User" means a member who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.

③ "Member" means a person who has registered for the Service and can continuously use the services provided by the Company.

④ "Event" means gatherings or activities created by members for participation with other members.

Article 3 (Membership Registration)

Membership registration is required to use the Service.

Members can create an account using their authentication method, and only one account can be created per authentication method.

Only persons aged 15 or older may register as members.

Members are responsible for securely managing their account information and must immediately notify the Company if their account is used without authorization.

Membership registration may be restricted in the following cases:

  1. Use of another person's identity
  2. Provision of false information
  3. Previous suspension of membership

Article 4 (Provision of Service)

The Company provides the following services:

  1. Event creation, participation, and management features
  2. Community post creation and comment features
  3. Real-time chat between members
  4. Article browsing and bookmark features
  5. Profile management and hashtag settings
  6. Other services developed or provided through partnerships

The Service is provided 24/7, year-round in principle.

The Company may temporarily suspend the Service for system maintenance, expansion, or replacement, and scheduled work will be announced in advance.

Article 5 (Member Obligations)

Members must not engage in the following:

  1. Misappropriating or illegally using others' personal information
  2. Posting false information or impersonating others
  3. Posting offensive content such as profanity, defamation, or hate speech
  4. Posting obscene, violent, or illegal content
  5. Posting commercial advertisements, spam, or promotional messages without authorization
  6. Interfering with or harassing other members' use of the Service
  7. Disrupting Service operations or accessing systems without authorization
  8. Infringing on others' intellectual property rights such as copyrights and trademarks

Article 6 (Event Creation and Participation)

Members can freely create events for participation with other members.

Event creators must accurately describe the event content, date, location, and number of participants.

Members participating in events must observe the agreed time and location, and must cancel in advance if participation becomes impossible.

The Company is not responsible for disputes between event participants and follows the principle of resolution between parties.

Article 7 (Copyright and Content)

Copyright and other intellectual property rights to works created by the Company belong to the Company.

Copyright to content such as posts, comments, and photos created by members belongs to those members.

The Company may use content posted by members for Service operation, improvement, and promotion purposes.

Article 8 (Service Restrictions and Suspension)

The Company may restrict Service use or suspend accounts without prior notice in the following cases:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Infringement of others' rights or disruption of Service operations
  • Violation of laws and regulations

Article 9 (Membership Withdrawal)

Members may request Service withdrawal at any time, and the Company will process personal information according to relevant laws.

Posted content may not be deleted upon membership withdrawal; if deletion is desired, it must be done before withdrawal.

Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)

The Company is not liable for Service interruptions due to force majeure such as natural disasters or system failures.

The Company is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of information posted by members.

The Company does not intervene in or take responsibility for disputes between members or between members and third parties.

Article 11 (Amendment of Terms)

The Company may amend these Terms as necessary within the scope of not violating relevant laws.

When Terms are amended, the changes and effective date will be announced through in-Service notifications at least 7 days in advance.

Article 12 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)

Disputes related to Service use shall be resolved according to the laws of the Republic of Korea.

If litigation is necessary, the court with jurisdiction over the Company's headquarters shall have jurisdiction.
